State Nonmotorized Transportation
Advisory Committee
"To promote nonmotorized transportation and its acceptance in Minnesota"

Vacancy

If you are interested in applying for an open vacancy on the Mn/DOT State Nonmotorized Transportation Advisory Committee, please familiarize yourself with the committee by reading our Annual Letter, our last meeting minutes, and our bylaws. Time commitments on the committee vary, but usually average around 5-10 hours a month, plus bi-monthly meeting attendance. Attendance at the 5 SNTC meetings a year is expected. There are 4 afternoon meetings held in the Mn/DOT offices in St. Paul and one longer annual planning meeting that is usually held in one of the other districts. Travel expenses to these meetings are reimbursed. Members are expected to serve on a sub-committee focusing on one of the committee's goals, represent the bicycle community in their district and interact with their Mn/DOT district office. Sub-committees meet via conference calls or communicate via email. If interested in serving on the SNTC committee, please fill out the application.

The purpose of the SNTC is to advise Mn/DOT on developing nonmotorized transportation goals, objectives, policies, and standards in Minnesota, and to work towards the goal of making nonmotorized modes a viable transportation and recreation option for the citizens of Minnesota
